Why the name “Crewe”? It is the name of a town in Virginia, and is the first place our founding members gigged.

What does that symbol mean? It’s Chinese for Year of the Ox, a creature with qualities of strength and fortitude. Like the music we play. It looks cool, too.

JEFF CHAMBERLAIN – Vocals
“They Call Me Mister” Chamberlain has sung for D.C. area bands Not Even and Clashing Plaid. The lucky stiff: all he has to carry to a gig is a microphone. Do not ask Jeff what’s under the hat.

  KEVIN JONES – Bass
A musician for 30+ years in MD and VA, Kevin has played high energy rock with bands such as Armageddon and Fallen Angel, plus jazz and bluegrass. He also plays in pit orchestras for musicals from Damn Yankees to Jesus Christ Superstar.

MIKE REIDY – Guitar
A 20 year student of the guitar school of hard knocks, Mike plays Clapton, Hendrix, Blackmore, and Knopfler licks remarkably like Clapton, Hendrix, Blackmore, and Knopfler. Not that modest Mike would ever admit that.

SCOTT THOMPSON – Guitar, Vocals
A veteran of Washington area bands, Scotty toured New England with Tuesday Boots, played bass with party band Cartel, and rocked the mid Atlantic beach bars as leader of Teezin’ With Fred. Now owner and operator of Chestnut Studios in Southern Maryland, he collects vintage amps and builds custom guitars.
  RICK BRIEFS – Drums
His T-shirts say it all: “Loud Is Good” and “More Cowbell!” Rick has gigged for years with bands such as The Trend, Freestate House Rockers, Clashing Plaid, and Jumpin’ Hailstones. He’s adept at art rock, new wave, punk, and high energy rock. But now that his ears are shot, he prefers blues and classic rock.
